My #SenecaCPD Presentation – Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction applied to MFL Teaching

As I say in the presentation, this is a reminder that Rosenshine’s principles are not:

  • A list of things to include in all planning.
  • The silver bullet that will solve all issues.

They are however useful to help support your current teaching methods. They could help you to understand what you are doing better, allow you to tweak and make improvments or help you to structure your curriculum.

Whatever you do, remember they aren’t the be all and end all and certainly won’t replace the subject-specific pedagogical training you’ve had, they’re there to work alongside these things.
